Nothing in particular

Hey everybody,
Hope you're having a great winter so far - I apologize to those of you in the extreme cold tonight, and congratulate Jen and myself for being in mild, even warm climates. : )

Anyway, I haven't visited this blog in forever, and I've been wondering how you're doing? Are any of you on facebook or myspace? It would be a lot easier to keep track of some of you if I could passively see your updates when I'm doing other stuff online. ; )

I finally made it to the mountains for a ski trip, and I wiped out like an old woman! It was awful! ; ) More embarrassing than anything else ha ha (k, really bruising, too...my legs are still black and blue seven days later from sliding down 20' of icy moguls...). Besides the falls, it was beautiful! Sunshine all day, no wind, slopes that went on for crazy long distances, great views, fun friends. It was kind of weird though - I kept looking for our RCC group. : ) I just expected to see you there, 'cuz my ski trips always include you.
K, I'm off to bed. Email, call, whatever. I want to know how you're doing. : )
See you later,
Rachel

Big Events coming on January 19th & 26th !!!

Hey everyone!

Dan here. Two big events this month that I thought should be posted here:

January 19th: Saturday at 8:30 AM meet at church to ride down to Grand Rapids and serve the Closed Door Ministry headquarters with a mailing. We will help CDM, then go out for lunch or whatever people want to do in GR. Feel free to post your fun ideas for after the sevice project!

January 26th: Saturday night at 7:00pm at Montague HS Auditorium - Daniel Shayesteh Outreach. Posters are available in the church office for you to post on campus, in restuarants, stores, etc. Invite EVERYONE YOU KNOW! This will be an outreach where Daniel will share his amazing story of going from being an Islamic extremist from Iran to a beleiver in Jesus!

Eat What?

I just don't know what to do. So many choices...

Eat Ham!

Hi everybody! How's life been? I just wanted to post some wise advise here, that I learned from experience. If you are feeling kinda inventive, and have leftover mac and cheese, some spaghetti sauce, and a soft taco wrap, do not try to mix them together. It was disgusting. (although mac and cheese in a soft taco wrap with hot sauce is a good mix, and can be frozen and enjoyed at a later date)

Anyway, things are going awesome over here in Spokane. I miss all you folks and hope you have a good thanksgiving. I just thought of something...

I am thankful to God, for creating me, and then fixing the mess that my life would be without further intervention, for His Word, as a guide for my day to day life, as well as meaning and purpose, and His Spirit, to comfort me as I walk the trail of life.
I am thankful for all the awesome people put in my life. My family, my Church,(RCC), my country, my friends, and my school.
I am also thankful for all the people praying for me. Grandma Sikkenga is always faithful to pray for me, as well as my family and friends who pray for me.
Keep up the good work at RCC... You guys probably dont realize how rare it is to have a body like it. I've been church hopping for a while, and it seems there just isn't another church quite like RCC. Take a second to thank God for RCC, its pastors, elders, and deacons, especially in this thanksgiving season.

Miss you guys more than you know...
In His Service,
Scott Anthony Sikkenga
